Accommodation

When moving to a new city, it is important to have somewhere suitable to stay. A room in halls of residence or a university-owned flat offers students a safe place to store belongings, study, unwind and sleep. For many students, life at university is their first experience of living away from home. Although initially it can be a daunting prospect, your first year away at University will probably be one of the most memorable of your life!

The University of Ulster provides student accommodation in halls of residence. Students also have the choice to live in private accommodation, but this is usually a more popular option for second or third year students.

Private accommodation offers a new level of independence, but also brings new responsibilities. It is important to remember that you will have to cover the cost of utility bills and food as well as rent: in Halls of Residence utilities are typically included in the rent.
