If you have special needs you may feel that it is worth asking an estate agent to help you search for a suitable property. They will be able to guide you through the entire process, whether viewing appropriate properties or signing a contract which meets your requirements. It may even be possible to negotiate changes in the rental contract if you need special circumstances to be taken into account, for example, if a contract does not allow pets in the property but you require a guide dog to live with you. You can also register at your local council if you need a property with specific adaptations.
