Renting a House

If you are interested in sharing a property with a group of people, perhaps a group of friends or colleagues, you may wish to consider renting an entire house. The monthly rental and running costs will be divided between all the housemates and you will not have to worry about sharing a space with a group of strangers. However, renting a property tends to be expensive in the Netherlands, unless you are renting property which is intended for use by students. If you choose to rent a property you will need to agree to the terms and conditions of the rental contract, and it will usually be necessary for at least one tenant to prove that they have a regular income. This tenant may even be required to guarantee that rent payments from his housemates will be made on time, and be willing to pay them if they are not.
