Average Rental Costs in the South of Italy / Naples

The most important city in the south is Naples, famous for its cuisine and its university.

To rent a studio in central Naples in via Duomo will cost around 17 €/m²; prices are considerably lower here than other Italian cities. Studios located in 'Vomero', one of the most expensive areas of Naples, cost slightly more at 18 €/m². A 30m² studio will cost between €510 and €540 a month.

A two-room apartment in the city centre also costs much less than in other cities, at around 11 €/m², excluding additional costs. An apartment of the same quality located in 'Vomero', will cost around 15 €/m². A 50m² apartment will cost between €550 and €750.
