I need some information and thought the best way is to go via the division of unemployment insurance (KY). Does anyone know where they are located, or even what is the best way to contact them? I need to find out more information about the Trade Adjustment Assistant Benefit. My employer has said that as we now currently have less trade due to problems with suppliers abroad that I may be able to apply for extra federal benefits as he contributes to this fund, but I have no idea how I am supposed to go about claiming. Am I right in saying that it is probably really hard to get this benefit and also that it would be hard to prove?

It probably would be hard to prove btu if your boss is the one who suggested it then there must be a good chance for you to get it. I mean the TAA provides benefits for workers who lose their jobs or whose hours of work and wages are reduced as the result of trade with other countries so if your boss can prove that your working patterns have been affected due to foreign trade I don’t see why it would be a problem.
