How can I get an unemployment insurance extension (California)?

I need some information on how to go about obtaining an unemployment insurance extension (California) as my insurance ran out a while ago but whenever I call I don’t get through. Is there something wrong with their 1800 number as it never seems to be open? Is there some kind of email helpline I could contact? Can I go into an office or is that not possible? |

If all you need to do is to apply for an extension then just reapply online or send off the papers. They will not need to re-interview as they just take it as if your circumstances have not changed. If not you could also try here https://eapply4ui.edd.ca.gov/eddcomm/asp/frmEDDCOMM.aspx i had the same problem with the phones so I contacted them here and they actually got back to me quite quickly.
