Who has a good elderly policy for their travel insurance? Over 85s seem to get a raw deal: the market shouts about its over 65 deals, but a lot of these insurers stop cover at around 70 – 75. Can anyone recommend travel insurance for the old in years but young at heart?

Some insurers will continue to insure you at any age, but your choices drop significantly when you're in your eighties. This makes it more difficult to get a competitive quote, but at least it's not altogether impossible to get insurance! Insure For All have over eighties cover, up to the age of 99. Even good old M&S offer travel insurance for wrinklies, underwritten by Axa Insurance. And Direct Line have no age cut-off point for their insurance! Just bear in mind that you are never guaranteed to be accepted for insurance, and if you're a huge risk they may not cover you.
