Me and my wife are planning to try and look for a house in the next few years or so and we want to make sure that we have the right savings account to look after our money. We are sure that we want to stay with Britannia building society savings however we are not entirely sure which product to go for. Can someone suggest an account that they have used for long terms savings with multiple deposits?

Have you opened an ISA yet? They are always the thing to start off with you want to be able to save the most amount of money and the tax free wrapper really is worth it. If you already have one, are you sure that you are using it to its full allowance? I would just say that a regular saver is probably the best way to go after that. Definitely try and open one online as they often get better rates online than in branch. Have you had a look around though, why so determined on Britannia?

I did the same with HSBC and I was happy with their regular saver that allowed me to deposit money every month and even had a function where it would transfer a certain percentage of my wages each month.
