I have a question about Britannia building society isa withdrawals and am hoping someone can clear something up for me. I went in to cash some of my ISA and the woman told me I cannot cash over £500 in one day and that I would have to come back the next day. Is this true? Why is this? So what would have happened if I had wanted to close my ISA could I still not take out the money?

It says on their website that you are limited to taking out £500 in cash epr day, I am sure if you want more they could give you a cheque that you could put in to your normal current account. Unless you specifically want the cash that is?

But isn’t that pointless because a cheque takes 3-5days to clear anyway so you might as well just go back the next day and get the cash.
