I know that people go on about the fixed rate ISAs and say how great they are but will I still be ok going for a NatWest variable rate ISA or is there just no point? I cant commit to leaving the money in an account for that long a time as my circumstances change quite frequently but I would like to at least try and save. Thoughts? |

I would say the opposite at the moment, the rate is very low and it is going to go up, so why would you commit yourself to one rate when it could increase. Fixed rates are good when it comes to you pay something not the other way around. I would say the NatWest variable rate ISA is good for you if you don’t want to be tied down. But remember that many ISAs only pay upon maturity so if you take it out beforehand you still won’t get all the interest you expected. Still a good way for some tax free savings though. |
