I am trying to look out for a good savings account and I am not sure where to go. I like the idea of an ISA and wondered how Nationwide cash isa rates compare to others? If not an ISA then what should I be going for? A bond perhaps? What is similar to an isa?

Mate, you need to give us more to go on than that. How much you want to save, whether you need access to your money, whether it is to save or to make money, if you have any specific requirement, why specifically Nationwide….. I could go on…….
Also very interesting:

An isa is always a good idea, I would say you just need to put a bit more research I behind it before you make the jump. Have you had a look here on the ISA pages, they are very detailed without being too much information to take in, great place to start if you ask me: http://www.monetos.co.uk/investment/tax-free/individual-savings-accounts/
