Can anyone explain the ISA rates @ Abbey? They're offering 2% or 3% but both variable, plus a variable bonus rate... how much do you actually GET, i.e. not variable?

I think you're looking at their Direct ISA. You get 0.5% AER for savings of between £1 and £9,000, and 1% AER for savings of more than £9,000. There is also a variable bonus of up to 2% (which would make an AER of 3% in the top tier). So in essence, you'll GET 0.5% or 1%, but could get up to 3%. The rates vary depending on account balance and current market conditions. So to get 3% you'd need to save a lot and be lucky!
