Is it worthwhile doing a student loan comparison before deciding where to study in the UK? I've heard that different countries give you different amounts...

The student loan systems are different in Scotland, England, Wales and N. Ireland. The problem is, wherever you choose to study, your loan will be based on where you're coming from not where you're going to! This means that you will still be required to pay tuition fees (or get a tuition fees loan) if you go and study in Wales, even though Welsh students don't have to pay their tuition fees. I suppose this is to stop people going to the country that offers them the best deal So you may as well choose the uni you want to go to, not try to cheat the system

You are going to get in to debt no matter what, so you might as well make sure you pick the uni and course you want…..
