What is the best student account for Erasmus students?

I'm starting Uni next year and in the spirit of organisation (and the spirit of no longer being a last-minute merchant) I'd like the best student account for someone who intends to study abroad in their third year: I'd like an overdraft and low fees and free international withdrawals

Take a look at the Lloyds TSB student account. It offers a lot of the things you want, like an interest-free overdraft and a free NUS Extra card. It doesn't offer free international withdrawals, but it does offer no commission on foreign currency and American Express travellers cheques! Plus it may be good to opt for a big company like Lloyds if you're going abroad – they have some branches in Spain for example. You may need to open a regular current account and transfer your money to qualify for free withdrawals though...
