I want to open an account with the Bank of Scotland Renfew, but I am not sure where to go. It is my first account and know that there are a few banks in my area but I am not sure which one I should go to, or what I have to take with me? What is the type of account I would need to apply for? I am 16 and going to college soon. Apart from my passport of course what else would I have to take with me?

I would say that this is the best account for your age as you can earn interest as well as all the normal stuff like having an Electron card and withdrawing at Cash machines and what not http://www.bankofscotlandhalifax.co.uk/bankaccounts/cardcash.asp. For ID i would say passport, proof of address and some money to open the account, doesn’t have to be much!
