I would like to invest in the stock market, but have no idea about stocks, shares and selling... Can I invest in the stock market by investing in a linked account? Or get someone else to do the trading for me? What's the easiest and best way to combine investing & accounts?

Stock market linked accounts are definitely an easy way in. Often you deposit your capital and the rest is taken care of. Interest is linked to the stock market's highs and lows. On the other hand, you may wish to invest in a fund – this is also managed by a specialist, but typically offers a bit more risk and the chance of better returns too. Look at the Halifax's online guide to funds and their fund selector tool for a few ideas... the more you research, the more idea you'll have and the easier it will be to get a good investment organised.
