What happens to my “state pension for couples” once my divorce goes though?

Me and my husband have been living off a state pension for couples. However we are getting a divorce and I am not sure what will happen to our pension. I don’t have enough NI contributions by myself to get a good pension. Will I have to make do with the pension they offer me or is there a way around it? |

You should be able to still claim off your husband’s NI contributions, meaning that whereas before you where receiving the couple’s amount you will each claim off his Name so should both receive the £95 if he made the maximum contributions. |
