Does anyone else feel that the state pension increases of April 2009 were not enough? I heard that the National Pensions Convention was trying to get this to be increased again but I haven’t read anything since. Does anyone know if there is anything in the pipeline for another increase? With the way the cost of things keep increasing I am finding it hard to buy the bare minimum per week. Everything just gets worse…… someone give me some good news!!!!

The next increase won’t be until next year now, and that’s if they do increase it.

Ridiculous isn’t it, I mean Britain is a wealthy nation, the top are doing very nicely with constant tax breaks ect!!!! but the old are suffering, particularly the poorest old because the state pension is pathetic, it's level should shame this government.

The state pension is pathetic, they should increase it to at least £250 a week for single pensioners, and at least £300 for a couple

That would increase government spending by about £100 billion a year, where do you think this is going to come from?
