I don’t understand something to do with the state pension age calculator. They say that the current state pension age for women is 60. So why do we need a calculator? I know that they will increase but I don’t they have defined all of the increases for the next 100 years so what is the point? And if they have, how is that possible, what if the world completely changes in 20 years? How can they calculate what age we should be to receive a pension? |

Unfortunately they have. The stage age for a pension has been defined up until 2046 after that who knows. I am 23 and by that time the state pension age will have increased to 68 for women and thus the age calculator takes these future increases in to consideration and tells you when you will be able to receive your pension. In my case 2054!!!!!!! But I completely agree with you, how can they have already calculated that by 2054 we will al be so fit to work until 68????? What if things change in the next 30 years and we can longer work these crazy hours that we do now. Who knows what’s going to happen to the world. |
