Now that Icesave has gone bust and online banking feels a little less secure than it once was, which are the best internet savings accounts? I need something safe with a good interest rate. |

Don't worry about their being another Icesave. The chances of another bank going up in smoke decline by the day: just make sure your money is spread out – no more than fifty thousand per bank – and you should be ok. As for a good savings account, the internet offers deals from HSBC and Citibank, which are well established as online financial giants. The Citibank flexible saver is offering top interest rates with no withdrawal penalties, for example. |
