Is there a limit to how much I can transfer from a Halifax Savers Account in to my debit account?  I heard that the amounts differ if you do it via the telephone banking or via online banking, is this true? If so which is better? Does the transaction go through straight away if I do it via phone or will I have to wait until the end of the day?

It depends on what kind of savers account you have. Is it the Web Savers extra? That the one I have and I can transfer online and by phone so I am thinking it could be the same. If so then you need to be careful as you can only make one withdrawal a year, I think the maximum you can transfer online is 10k, but maybe that differs. Perhaps try contacting someone in branch once you know which account it is that you have so that you can ask them directly what the maximums are. But if I am not mistaken there are no maximums by telephone.
