I'm looking to start saving and want to hear from anyone with easy to manage savings accounts & best rates despite not being able to invest £1million... I don't want any fuss, just fair returns.

The only way to find out about the 'fuss' is in the small print of the savings account contracts. You'll have to sign an agreement before you can open the account, and reading this thoroughly should fill you in on the different charges etc. that could arise. Having said this, the small print is notoriously dull and winding, so the chances are you'll overlook something anyway! Make sure that you ask the representative what charges you have to pay and how you can avoid having to pay these. I've been a customer with the Halifax for years and (apart from their crappy expensive credit card charges!) have been very satisfied
