I have about 4k that I would like to put in to a savings account for a couple of years. I am engaged and at the moment I am fortunate to have enough money but I want to save at least this amount so that when we finally get married I will at least have a bit put to one side. Although I am ok for the moment I am not sure about anything too fixed like fixed rate bonds etc so I was hoping to find out what the Halifax web saver has to offer. Can anyone tell me whether they thought this offered a good rate and how easy it was to access your money?

Why are you sticking just specifically to Halifax? There are so many other possibilities that you could have. I would say to have a look on the Money Saving Expert pages, he offers tons of advice of where to invest your money and which rates are up at the moment. If you are stuck on the Halifax Web Saver then I would advise you to have a look on the MSE website and see whether it has a mention. I mean, obviously I don’t want to take everything Martin offers as the bible but I think he knows his stuff, so if its good it should be on there!!!
