I know that they are no longer available but I was just trying to work out how the Halifax regular saver @ 10% interest was actually worked out. There seems to be loads of confusion over the matter and I would just like someone to explain it to me in lay-men’s terms so that I can say that I got it icon_wink.gif

Its really strange, so many people tried and tried to explain it and it really wasn’t as complicated as many people made it out to be. All you needed to know is that they were paying 10% interest all year for what you have deposited. Whatever you deposit in month one is able to receive 10% interest for the whole year. Then if you deposit in the later months the added amount also is subject to 10% interest but only for 11 months and so on and so on.
