I think the best thing to do is to look at some financial comparison websites that have information on current rates. For example www.moneysupermarket.com/savings |

Are you looking for a long term savings investment or just something for the moment? If you are thinking more long term there are some very good rates with Yorkshire Bank Plc who offer child bonds, but no withdrawals are permitted and you cannot close the end date. So I think it all depends on how long you want to invest, whether you will need constant access and what kind of freedom you want. There are some really good deals available for long term accounts. |

Have you thought about a child trust fund. The government has set up a system where they will also pay in to the trust for recent born babies, you should see if you can still get it. It’s a great way of saving money for your daughter and you get a bit extra from them. http://www.monetos.co.uk/investment/savings-accounts/definition-types/other-accounts/ctf/ |
