How are new pensions & 2006 tax rules / A-day watershed connected? Are the tax rules only important for old pensions?

A-Day just means that a simpler set of tax rules are now in place for pensions. Trying to navigate the pension rules and tax regulations to work out how an old pension benefits is a minefield. To be honest it's best left to the accountants! If you're organising a pension scheme now, after April 2006, you don't need to worry about the old rules. Just be glad your scheme should be easier to follow icon_wink.gif Does that answer your question?
