The advantages of opening a pension online are typically only administrative: that is, it's easier for you! The advantages of online banking, such as lower fees and higher interest rates, don't usually apply. If you've done your research and already know exactly what you want, there's no reason why you couldn't apply to open your pension fund online. If not, I'd definitely suggest discussing the different options with an expert!
