Are the annuity rates MetLife offer reasonable?

I have been offered to transfer my pension lump sum into annuity, but I am not sure about the annuity rates MetLife offer and whether or not I should be shopping around for a better deal. What is the average rate for a fund of around $120,000?

You should definitely shop around, not because I know that this is a low rate, but because this is your life we are talking about, you need to be sure that you are being given the best offer out there and not just settling for the first rate you stumble on to.
