I am currently looking for pet insurance. Pre-existing condition clauses in policies are always a problem I am a bit confused as to the details I have to provide. I don’t want to scam anyone, and I assume I wouldn’t get away with it anyway, but my cat used to have a tumor and she was operated on and now is completely fine, will this class as a pre-existing condition & do I even have to mention this to the new provider. I don’t want her not to be covered and if I bring it up I am scared they won’t insure her.

Well I think it depends on the company I just looked over my policy and it mentions that if the cat has been sprayed/had injections prior to their 1st birthday then they will cover it for any tumors etc, so I think that as long as your cat had these injections and what not, and at the policy start date they are tumor free, then it should be fine in my opinion. Perhaps its best to be open with the first company you go to, then if they give you a hard time try and avoid it with the next one!!! Good luck!!!!
