I recently applied for NatWest Graduate loan as I need a bit of start up money in order to move for my new job. I have been offered a new job in London but obviously I don’t really have money to move and wont be able to start my job until I do so I thought I would be able to get a graduate loan in order to tie me over for a while until I get paid. I have banked with NatWest since I was 14 and had my student account with them also. I did use up some of my overdraft but not all over the years and so I don’t understand why they wouldn’t accept my application for a loan. They didn’t tell me why just that I was refused, can anyone think of why?

Have you ever had a credit card? A lot of the time these kind of things are linked to your credit rating and how can you establish credit if you have never had a credit card?
