I saw something on GMTV recently that said that there is a way to claim if you feel that you were forced to take out loan insurance. Mis-sold is the only way I can put it, they told us that we needed this in order to take out a loan but now I find out that I didn’t have to. Can I claim the money that I have paid in to the insurance back?

Its true that many financial lenders did use this tactic in order to make people believe they needed it to get a loan, but the problem is it is so hard to prove that you were told this. How can you prove that you didn’t want to take it out and they made you? The Financial Services Ombudsman deal with these types of complaints so you could try contacting them and seeing what they say but they usually redirect people back to the lender before doing anything.
