I was hoping to apply for a payday loan. Direct debit seems the easiest option for them to pay it directly in to your account but I heard that most of them give you a cheque. Is this true? Is this even worth it then as you have to wait 5 days for the cheque to clear…..

I think there are some that just transfer the money in to your account. I think its mostly the online ones though. If you go in to a branch then they are more likely to give you a cheque as it would be hard for them to set up the facilities (time-consuming also) to transfer the money in to your account. Also don’t forget that many BACS transfers take 3 days also so a cheque is no longer that long. I can usually see the funds in my account after 3 days and use it on the 4th.
