Do many women lake out loans for IVF treatment?

We have been contemplating IVF for a while now but then after meeting a woman who went through it it was good to talk it over from different points of view. We were thinking we would wait as we would have to save up at least 10k to pay for the course. But this lady told me how she had taken out a loan. I had never thought about this. Do many women take out loans for IVF treatment? My husband said that perhaps it would be hard to take a loan out as you would feel unmotivated to pay it back if the IVF didn’t work, which I can understand but was wondering what those who had gone through this thought? |

I did the same, I mean I took out a loan. I cant tell you the outcome yet as I haven’t finished my cycle. But the way I saw it was that I would rather try than know there was a way for me to get pregnant and I wasn’t trying it as I wanted to hold on to my money. True what your husband said I probably will be sad every time I see the DD get taken from my account from the clinic, but that could be true with some many things. And then saying that, what if it DOES work!!!!! 12-15k is nothing in comparison to that joy!!!!! That’s my opinion anyway. |
