I got in to a bit of debt in my final year of uni (200icon_cool.gif and have found it hard finding a job with my degree at the moment. I have been working just casual jobs in the meanwhile to tie me over but I have now come to the conclusion that it would be better for me to go back to uni and do a masters so that I can specialize in a certain area and then I am sure I will get a job. However I applied to both the NatWest and the Barclays career development loan and they both have declined saying that my credit rating was too low. Isnt that the whole point, obviously my score would be low, I have just come out of uni…. How do people usually fund their masters?

This is unfortunately the problem with doing a Masters if you do not have the money to fund it yourself. There are not many ways for you to pay for the fees and as they are more expensive than undergraduate fees this also adds up. This page on the Student Finance Direct Gov page has some useful tips and ideas on where to get the money: http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/EducationAndLearning/UniversityAndHigherEducation/ChoicesAfterYouGraduate/DG_10012463
