I am about to start University and know that I will need a student account for my student loan to be paid into. But with so many different accounts on offer I would like to know where the best place to look for student bank account offers is. I have tried moneysupermarket.com but I find it quite confusing…….any others?

I like www.which4u.co.uk I find their website very easy to use and clear. The only problem that I find with it is that I don’t think it compares all the student accounts at the same time, but you could search for each one separately. What were you looking for: low rates after you graduate or freebies or the highest overdraft?
Also very interesting:
  • How to check my student hmrc loan balance?
  • Ideas for structured finance / credit repayment plan?
  • Should I opt for student loan debt consolidation?
  • Are student current accounts worth opening even if I don’t need an overdraft?
  • Where to search for student bank account offers?
  • What's the student finance (PN1) form?
  • When to open a student account?
  • How to make a Student Finance (Lancashire) complaint?
  • Student finance: Nottingham unfairness?
  • For the student finance form (PN1) how finite are the details you give?

How about MoneySavingExpert? I mean you cant actually search with them, but they are always up to date with the latest offers and they usually have loads of hints on where to get good deals and what to look out for.
