When I first went to uni I opened an account with NatWest who gave me a student account railcard. One of my friends told me that you can use this card until you reach 25, but mine expires at the end of the year (I’m 23). Can I get a new one from NatWest?

Your friend was right it is valid for you people but actually until they turn 26, but I doubt NatWest will give you a replacement. NatWest provide this as an incentive to open an account with them not for you to stay with them unfortunately. You will have to get one from the National Rail. Its called the Young Persons Rail card. It isn’t so expensive so if you are a frequent train user I would consider buying it if I were you. It only costs £26 a year so just one long distance trip will cover the cost. Plus there are other offers that you get with the card, like special discounts on days out and restaurants, especially in London. I use mine all the time J
