
Can I get an early retirement? (NHS Pension Scheme)

The unit I currently work for will be closing in 11months, just 6 months before I reach retirement age. Is there any way to get an early retirement on NHS Pension Scheme? Or is 6 months not long enough? If not I am not sure what i would do for these 6 months, but I am guessing they would make me pay a penalty to try and get the pension early, right? |

Women under 60 can still apply for income support so you could just claim that as long as you don’t have any other savings over 15k I think.
