Are Prudential annuity pensions / pension plans any good? My friend and his wife both have private plans with the Pru and recommend it, but I'd like a few more opinions!

I'm not a customer with the Pru so I can't comment on that, but I just wanted to point something out icon_wink.gif You buy an annuity WITH your pension fund – you can't set up an annuity pension. Or do you mean a defined benefit scheme pensions whereby you KNOW how much you'll get annually? Basically, you invest in a pension until you retire / the fund matures. At this point you can 'sell' your fund in exchange for an annual income / 'annuity' .
