I have been mis-sold insurance as when I took out my mortgage at Yorkshire Bank Doncaster they told me that the payment protection insurance was compulsory, or at least they made it seem that way. What can I do? How can I get it back? I mean it has been a few motnhs now and I only just heard about this problem where banks are scamming so I want to get the money back ASAP. Thanks for your help. |

I would write to your bank first and let them know that you are not happy and that you feel that you were pressured in to taking out the insurance. Do it by post so you can prove things, it is better to have whatever they tell you in writing otherwise it is just a he said she said case. Then if you are not happy with their response you need to contact the Ombudsman service. But do not contact them until you have at least tried to deal with your bank as they will just send you away. |

How can people still be getting conned in to this, no offense but it was all over the news a few years back and yet people still seem to be falling for it. |

The question you should be asking is why are the banks still trying to get away with it, I thought it was against the law and that they had to pay back so much money that they would have thought about continuing. |

Thanks, I know it is ridiculous them trying to cheat us out of this money. I mean I actually think it is a good thing to have insurance but it doesn’t give them the right to mislead us, we should be able to decide for ourselves. When any, writing to them tonight and lets see what happens….. |
