I'm a recent graduate who just moved to Birmingham to start a new job. Although I have a steady income for the foreseeable future I have no savings and was planning to get a 100% mortgage. Is this still possible since the crisis? |

Although the 100% mortgage slipped off the loan radar for a while, it never died. Now that the banks and lenders are rebooting themselves it's back as long as you are a good candidate. Of course, interest rates and charges are naturally higher because the risk that you won't be able to make repayments is still a real one for the lender: and they don't even have your deposit to soften the blow! Try looking for a good deal on comparison sites, or ask the bank where you have your current account / savings account to make you an offer. Have you tried asking your current banking advisor? |
