With 5 year NatWest Fixed Rate bonds are you able to touch the interest? Obviously I know that the initial capital is not allowed to be taken out but I was thinking that perhaps this was allowed. Or is this just wishful thinking?

It depends what type of bond it is. There are those where the interest is added every six months or those where it is added upon maturity so if it is the latter then you would not be able to. I thinkt he best thing for you to do would be to go in to a branch and ask the question directly and don’t just settle for a yes if it is, ask them to show you in the T&Cs exactly where it is mentioned.
