I was hoping to invest in a bond, and I wanted to find something with Coventry Building Society. Bonds seem to be the best option for me at the moment but I don’t want to get stuck with a fixed rate and when I looked online all I found were fixed rate bonds. Do CBS not offer any variable rate bonds?

Why are you sticking with Coventry Building Society? If you want a variable rate bond there are so many other places you could go. Just a quick look on moneysupermarket would help you out.

I believe in sticking with the community and helping them to grow. I happen to like CBS. So back to my question, is there such a thing as a variable rate bond?

It doesn’t look like it, if it isn’t online then I doubt they offer it. But then again even for the fixed rate bond you have to go in branch to open it, you cant just do it online so maybe there are different options but they want to discuss them with you.

You would think they want to have people’s money, why would they make people who are willing to open a bond online go in branch, they might end up changing their minds……
