Are there any Coventry building society branches outside of the West Midlands? I live just outside of High Wycombe but after looking online I really like the rates for a fixed rate bond that CBS is offering and I was hoping to invest in one. Problem is is that they do not allow you to open a bond online and I don’t think there are any branches this far south. Any ideas of how to get around it? Or why they don’t let you open it online? |

The closest branches to you are in Oxford I don’t think its soooo far but still I suppose it depends on time and whether you can get to Oxford etc. But if you really are sure you want to go with them then why not. |

Why not apply for one of their other products that you can access either online or by post instead of going through all the hassle. |

Have you tried calling them up, maybe they can tell you what to do? I used to work in one of their call centres in Coventry and we used to get loads of calls coming through just for advice and so they usually know what to tell you and how to go about things. |

Think I may give them a call, if not which other bonds are available at the moment at a good rate? Do building societies always give better rates than banks? |
