Should I add a child insurance rider?

I read an article recently about the importance of adding a child insurance rider. Do many parents insure their kids this way? Is it even easy to find through insurers as I have never come across it before? Or is it just a recent thing that parents are starting to do? |

I took out a child insurance rider as I liked the idea that it automatically turned in to a life insurance policy for my son and that way the benefits for him would be good. Some people think it’s a little morbid to insure your childs life but I think its thinking smart. |
