Does anyone have GICs? I'm looking to invest in a vehicle with a high interest rate. GIC has been suggested as a good investment option. Is it the best? |

It's ok! Basically a GIC allows you to invest and pays you good interest without putting your capital at risk. In these uncertain times it's a good idea to keep your capital out of the jaws of the stock markets! Having said this you can get some of the best interest rates from GICs that are linked to stocks and shares... Just make sure that you only invest money you don't need to touch. It's impossible to get your money out without a penalty! |
