I have been reading about the Time Deposit Santander Group offer through Abbey, but am a little unsure as to its details. I have some money that I would be able to put aside but for no longer than 2 months. Would it still be worth putting it in a Time Deposit rather than just a normal savings account?

I would definitely think so. They are based on the money market and not on the base rate meaning that you could probably get a higher rate. Plus with most savings accounts you have to stick to a certain amount of time before you see any return. At least this way you could set one up for 2 months and get a return straight away. But you know that you have to have a minimum of 50k and it has to be corporate money.
