They do ask you for information, but the point that they make (choosing investments is a complicated business and it pays to seek expert advice) is a fair one. I doubt they'll steal your details and sell them for profit If you're really uncomfortable, search and compare types of investment you already know, like capital bonds or ISAs. This is available on money supermarket and other sites too.
