I've got a good paperwork system for organising my bank statements & bill payments, but I lose track of investment prognoses, savings accounts & long-term investment accounts: all these papers just collect... Does anyone have a foolproof system for organising investments & accounts?

In what way would you like to organise them? Do you just want to store the relevant papers securely in a folder or actually track details and compare prognoses with results? If you're looking for the basic option, I keep all my papers in a series of folders organised according to the type of investment (current account, savings accounts, other investments) and then organised again based on date (latest papers at the front of the section, older stuff at the back). If you're looking for a way to track the developments of your investments, I'd recommend using spreadsheets. The internet offers some free financial spreadsheet tools, including various Excel and Calc templates.
