I took out my home insurance with Halifax and so thought it would be better to just get contents insurance with them too. But the thing is, when the policy came through I realized that so many things that are needed for renting out the property were not included in the policy, for example accidental damage. So now I back to searching for contents insurance, Confused seem to have a good search but they don’t show you everything, I know of moneysupermarket also but has anyone else got any ideas? Or does anybody know of an insurer that is good for landlords? Thanks

Have you tried reading up on money saving expert? I think it is very under rated but you can find out a lot of information from the site about who offers what insurance and also there is a forum where people have discussed different policies so you can normally get an overview of what type of an insurer the company is. Good luck.
