Make sure that you research different providers so that you can compare quotes, and check the small print so that you know exactly what they are and aren't covering. There's no point getting cheap contents insurance that doesn't actually cover you when you need it! Check exactly how much cover you really need: how much are your contents really worth? If you pay for more cover than you need, you'll pay an unnecessarily high premium!
